ABOUT ME

Hi there, thanks for checking out my video work. Here is how I got started as a filmmaker and videographer.

I was raised in the Tri-Cities, WA area, which I continue to call home. I began making videos with my friends in Middle School and started uploading skits and funny storytelling videos to the internet in High School. After I graduated High School I left home and went to Compass College of Film and Media in Grand Rapids, MI. Film school was amazing and it taught me so much about running a large set with 30-40 person crews, working with actors, shooting with RED cinema cameras, editing large video file sizes, and more. I experienced the magic of bringing a story to life from script to a big theater screen and submitting short films to festivals. I knew this was the beginning of what would become my career.

A year later I graduated with an Associate's degree and moved back home to Washington. My hometown was drawing me in, I didn’t want to leave. I started to connect with local non-profit organizations, businesses, musicians, and other filmmakers in my area. I got hired for video, working for Bethel Church WA in 2017. I started creating weekly video content and producing live-streamed Sunday services. This job gave me the opportunity to continuously learn new ways to tell stories and share information. I was in charge of a studio space with lights and multiple cameras. Years later, l am the Communications and Video Manager and love the work I get to do and the people I work with who share my same values and faith.

As I’ve developed my skills and been able to work on projects all over my home state, spanning from Canada to Mexico, the part I’ve enjoyed the most is working with people. Without the creative genius and energizing vision of others, the elements I add won’t be as unique. Whether it’s getting directly behind the camera, planning a big shoot, or sitting down at my computer to cut clips together, each step of the creative process is something I enjoy immensely. I always aim to try new ideas and create a video unlike any previous I’ve done before. Thank you for your time in reading my bio and learning more about me and my craft as a visual storyteller.
